I’m Burton B. Bridges, a geeky guy who’s interested in innovation and learning new tricks. Recently, I’ve been dabbling in design-thinking to explore radical ways to solve problems. And there’s an entire posse of us around town: veterans of the MIB.
ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been my employer for nearly ten years. It’s a privilege getting to spend most of my time in downtown Memphis @StJude. Working on behalf of children who are simply trying to get well is no less than inspiring. (And thousands of my contemporaries agree.)
As a native Memphian, I care deeply about the state of our city, its residents, and its future. I have volunteered via committees or boards of the DeNeuville Learning Center, the Memphis Child Advocacy Center, Delta Sigma Pi, and Christian Brothers University. I graduated summa cum laude from CBU with a B.S.B.A. in finance and received an M.A. in journalism from the Tigers’ own University of Memphis.
